Where it starts
It reads your files before it writes anything, so it knows what you can back up and where the evidence runs thin. Every fact it finds points back to its page and line.
Code and docs are read with their history.
Files are read exactly as they are.
Pages and decisions are read where they live.
Public sites and published work can be used too.
Its own documents are recognised and never count as evidence.
One history, several views
The same record becomes a CV for a hiring manager, a short biography for a conference and a project summary for a funder. Each one says only what its reader needs, and none of them changes a fact.

Versions instead of copies
Keep one master and an edition for each reader instead of loose copies. Restoring an older version adds a new one, and a good change made in one edition can go back into the master.
